Harry R. Hause, 91, passed away March 9, 2014 at the Pleasantview Home in Inman, Kansas. He was born November 7, 1922 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Homer and Mamie Hause. A veteran of the United States Army, he served proudly his country during World War II. A general laborer by trade he loved the celebrations of parades, enjoyed listening to gospel music, and taking care of his family. He married Edith Phillips on January 15, 1944 in Arizona. She passed away on May 4, 1968. He married Anna Loewen on June 22, 1969 in Hutchinson. She passed away on August 19, 2009. He is survived by a daughter, April Heckel, a step-daughter, Lou Welch, 2 brothers, Clarence Hause and Bob Hause, 1 sister, Eula Holcomb, 1 grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and, a granddaughter, DeeAnna Heckel. Per his request cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at a later date. Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
