Daniel E. Peterson, 68, passed from this world into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, October 29, 2014. He was born on August 21, 1946 in Hutchinson, the son of Elmer and Marion Peterson. He was a licensed master social worker. A 1964 graduate of Hutchinson High School he obtained his associates degree from Hutchinson Community College, received his accounting degree from Wichita State University, and earned a masters degree in social work from the University of Kansas. He worked at Dillon Living Center before his retirement. He enjoyed mastering Sudoku, rose gardening, was a gourmet cook, and was a pianist/organist and loved the works of Bach and Handle. His study of the Bible and sharing its message was his biggest joy. He was a great spiritual leader to family and friends, and a mentor to many. He is survived by a sister, Lynne (Ray) Price; a niece, Lori Martin-Price (Ray Jr.); 2 grand nephews Cole and Ethan Price. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be on Tuesday November 4, 2014 from 7pm to 9pm at the Salvation Army Building 700 N. Walnut St., Hutchinson. The family has established memorial gifts to Elyria Christian School and Christ Life Fellowship. They may be left in care of Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas.
