Carl Dauber

Carl Emmett Dauber, Jr., 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior, January 10, 2015 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on September 10, 1937, the son of Carl and Marie Dauber. He was a sheet metal worker by trade having worked for 40 years at Johnson Sheet Metal Company, Hutchinson. A member of New Hope Baptist Church, he loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, raised buffalo, had a keen eye for bargains at garage sales, and enjoyed woodworking. He was a devoted and loving patriarch to his family. On October 16, 1955 he married the love of his life of 59 years, Leona Daniel, in Newton, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include sons, Daniel and David (Diana) Dauber; daughters, Tena (Howard) Dauber, Sheri (Terry) Gaskill, Nancy (Charles) Tucker; brothers, Richard and Terry Dauber; sister, Sharon Ibraham; grandchildren, Adam (Tracy) Tucker, Laura (Jade) Schiewe, Steven (Grace) Dauber, Emily (Robert) Rowe; great grandchildren, Jaden, Wyatt, Emmett, Brookelyn, Carlie, Macey. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Raymond and sister Beverly Paque. Public visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Old Mission – Heritage Chapel with Reverend Harold Nelson presiding. Per his request the casket will remain closed. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund to New Hope Baptist Church and gifts may be left in care of the funeral home. Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of service arrangements
