Clik here to view.Viola May Starks, 96, passed away Feb. 2, 2015, at her home in Hutchinson. The daughter of Clarence and Cora Lil Barnes, she was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Gregory, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Full Gospel Fellowship Church. She loved to bake, do embroidery work, painting and drawing birds and flowers, enjoyed playing games and reading. She was an avid doll collector with over 1,000 dolls in her collection. On Dec. 15, 1936, she married Nelson Paul Starks in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1991. Other survivors include: a son, Robert of South Hutchinson; two daughters, Barbara Hanson (John), Mary Starks (Henry), both of Hutchinson; a sister, Lorrie Forbes of Hutchinson; and sister-in-law, Violet Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Donald Eugene and Gary Wayne; five brothers and five sisters. Public visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson. Graveside Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jerry Stokely presiding. Memorial gifts may be made to Tech, Inc. or Full Gospel Fellowship Church.
