Mark Alan Nelson, 51 went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2014 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. The son of Claude and Nancy Nelson, he was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on October 29, 1962. He was the owner of Nelson Tree Service. He attended Hutchinson schools and in his spare time enjoyed landscape work and doing sculpture work while listening to his favorite country music. A friend to all he met, he will be missed. He is survived by his mother: 2 sons, Justin A. Nelson (Martina), Johnathan Walden (Alyssa); 3 brothers, Harold Nelson (Jenise), Claude F. Nelson, Jr, Kenneth L. Nelson (Kasha); 1 sister, Twila L. Starks; 2 grandchildren, Santana and Jenisa; his caregiver, Jennifer Starks; and, his loyal companion, his dog, Sam I Am. He was preceded in death by his father, 1 sister, Cheryl L. Christian, and a brother, Clyde W. Nelson. Public visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 4:00 -8:00 pm at old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Memorial celebration will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Harold Nelson presiding. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial gifts be made to New Hope Baptist Church and left in care of the funeral home. Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home in charge of service arrangements.

Kurtis Montgomery, 50, of Hutchinson, passed on February 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is a Hutchinson High School graduate, Class of 1981. Kurtis is a USNavy Veteran after having served 1984-2004. He was employed at Alcoa Aerospace, Inc. and a member of the American Legion Post #68. Kurtis is survived by his wife, Dana, of 30 years. He is also survived by his children Aaron (Tara) Montgomery, Hutchinson, KS and Ashley (Daniel) Wiemeyer, Independence, MO, grandchildren Brooklyn Grace and Eli Kurtis, his brothers Charles Fortner (Helena), ME; Wesley Fortner, WA; Jay Fortner, VA; Lonnie Fortner (Wilma), OK; sister Rebecca Benton (John), TX and lots of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and in-laws. Kurtis was blessed with many angels including his parents, Bob and Faye Dougherty, and mother-in-law, Nancy Lehman. A casual Celebration of Life will be held at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home 528 N. Main St., Hutchinson on March 3, 2014 at 6pm. The family will meet and greet friends and relatives 4pm-6pm prior to the celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Council of Reno County, Hospice of Reno County, or American Legion Post #68. Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

Jimmie Cleve Lamb, 69, passed away on February 18, 2014 at the Hutchinson Care Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Hutchinson on October 11, 1944, the son of Roy Cleve and Mildred May Lamb. A tree trimmer by trade, he also proudly served in the United States Navy. In his spare time he built model ships and cars, made jewelry, and, was very handy at craftwork. He was a true lover of Mozart, Beethoven, and all other classical music. He is survived by a son, Jimmie Cleve Lamb Jr. and his companion Megan Tibke of Phillipsburg, Kansas; 2 daughters, Merina Michelle Lamb and her companion Dale Sterling of Hutchinson Kansas, Jimmy Louise (Missy) Parker and her husband (John) of North Dakota; a brother, Tim Lamb; 3 sisters, Sharon Kay Murphy, Twila Wycoff, and, Charlotte Bennett; grandchildren Diona Allen, Lena Hunsinger, Sam Hunsginer, Layla Frank, Candiace Pelkey, Stephani Pelkey, Jessica Smith, Gabriel Matthew Lamb, Grant Cleve Lamb, Gavin Timothy Ray Lamb, Quinnyen Own Lamb, Lakelynn Rose Tibke-Lamb; great-grandchildren, Karmen, timothy, Lily Allen, Brooke Pelkey, and, Angel Bair. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and a great-granddaughter, Brianna Allen Parker. Cremation has taken place. A time of visitation and celebration will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Harry R. Hause, 91, passed away March 9, 2014 at the Pleasantview Home in Inman, Kansas. He was born November 7, 1922 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Homer and Mamie Hause. A veteran of the United States Army, he served proudly his country during World War II. A general laborer by trade he loved the celebrations of parades, enjoyed listening to gospel music, and taking care of his family. He married Edith Phillips on January 15, 1944 in Arizona. She passed away on May 4, 1968. He married Anna Loewen on June 22, 1969 in Hutchinson. She passed away on August 19, 2009. He is survived by a daughter, April Heckel, a step-daughter, Lou Welch, 2 brothers, Clarence Hause and Bob Hause, 1 sister, Eula Holcomb, 1 grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and, a granddaughter, DeeAnna Heckel. Per his request cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at a later date. Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Thomas Paul Jankord, 56, passed away at his home, March 15, 2014. He was born August 8, 1957, in Holdrege, Nebraska, the son of Al and Lucy Jankord. He was the owner of Mid-America Sales Insulators. He married Sheri Lynn Hurley in Salina, Kansas on August 11, 1990. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Grafton, Wisconsin; 3 sons, Brandon, Seth, and, Skyler; 2 daughters, Ceann, and, Allison; 7 sisters, Melinda Jankord- Steedman, Joan Schultz, Carol Meyer, Susan Jankord, Camille Harper, Patricia Jankord, Phyllis Jantz; 1 brother, Steve Jankord. Many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and a niece and God Child, Laura Meyer. Private family viewing will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Joni Marie Montano Hollingsworth, 29, passed away March 13, 2014 at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on July 2, 1984 in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of Johnny and Showna Montano. She was a homemaker. A graduate of Hutchinson High School, she loved camping and fishing, helping her sister and keeping up with her favorite game, basketball. A tremendous cook, she enjoyed preparing new meal ideas for her family, and, hanging out with her friends. She married Justin Hollingsworth on June 5, 2004 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors are her parents; 2 sons, Dyllan and Tyler Hollingsworth: 2 step-brothers, Daxton and Skyler Montano; 4 sisters, Christina Armstrong (Anthony), Abby Stiggins, Katie Stiggins, Crystal Montano; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, 1 brother, Bo Ray Montano, and, an aunt Betty Harbe. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, with the family present from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A time of reflection will be held the same evening at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Joni Marie Hollingsworth Family Memorial Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
